WIPA Version History
Model – Update History
The WIPA model will be re-trained twice per year (January 1 and July 1).
There will be periodic full model updates outside of the typical re-training schedule to allow for model improvements prior to scheduled re-training.
In rare cases, updated geological mapping may highlight the need for a re-training event in advance of the typical schedule.
Small updates to mapping will typically be left to the standard re-training schedule.

The WIPA model will be continuously evaluated to ensure that well predictions are in-line with ARC’s expectations.
Latest model metrics can always be found in the WIPA dashboard under the Reference section.
Training Schedule
The model is scheduled to be re-trained January 1st and July 1st each year.
Re-training at these times allows the model to consider:
- Updates in well design and completion configurations
- Additional production history from newly producing wells
Due to re-training, there may be small changes in model predictions when a new version is released.
Previous scenario simulations will not be re-calculated with new model versions; however, the model version used for those simulations is recorded for reference.
